Scottish Folklore

𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟

Scotland is a land where magic breathes through the earth and in its veins you can hear the hearbeat of Earth our mother. Of Cailleach, creator of mountains and valleys, disruptor of spring and bringer of winter, still she walks these lands.
Every meadow you cross, every tree you encounter, is a reflection of folklore that remains alive.
Standing stones surround you, forming a portal to the Otherworld, to the realm of the fae, also known as the world of the dead.

Offerings are left in the forests for these beings. Acts meant to calm their temper, to ask for protection, favours or healing. These can be found in places who were once sacred. However, mystery still lingers in the air as we have only speculation about the rites, of druids, Celts and Picts. Nothins is certain, we interpret, we re-imagine.

But of one thing I am sure: there is magic in this land. There is Spirit, with a capital S.
And there are beings and creatures invisible to our eyes, or perhaps only visible to those who know how to see beyond the predictable.
